An art project created by Urban Cartoonery, an illustration studio led by multidisciplinary artist and designer Natascha Schwarz.
Instead of a static drawing, the city map is built as a modular system where every building, tree, and character is drawn as a separate, independent element. This structure allows us to move, add, or reorganize parts of the canvas at any time to reflect how Torrevieja changes. The hand-drawn illustrations focus on visual humor to connect the town’s 120 nationalities without language barriers, and the artwork can be scaled to any size—from a sticker to a billboard.

This clip is a perfect example of how the illustrated map comes to life through animation. We transform static art into a moving story, capturing the sun, the landmarks, and the most humorous moments of Torrevieja.
